My name is Ginna Berghuis, I live in Saugatuck Mi. I took advantage of Missouri Star’s free pattern offer and tried the Daisy & Grace 2 1/2” Hexagon QAYG (Quilt As You Go). My fabric is from the ‘stash and scrap’ line, except for the primary hexies, which came from the Moda collection. The individual hexies are hand bound, but the assembly was done on my machine.  I used the “laundry basket” technique for color placement except for the blossoms on the back.  I designed that layout on a honeycomb template using colored pencils and crayons. It’s a fun little quilt! It’s not perfect, but neither am I.

How fun! I made a quilt as you go pillow and I’m working on a heart/flower small quilt too. I like the quilt as you go for a travel project.
