Hi everyone! I’m Kathleen and there is an interesting story about the fabric I used in these quilts. I found two nice size sacks of fabric in a thrift store called Deseret Industries in Logan, Utah about 20 years ago. Inside the sacks, I found fabric that had once belonged to a quilter. There were many 3” squares, so I made the first Nine Patch quilt with those. I then bought the green sashings & hand-quilted it myself. The former quilter had also made 6 -7 Double-T Blocks, so I made a pattern and made 13 more Double-T Blocks out of her fabric. I bought the blue for sashings and had some Richmond, Utah quilters quilt it for me. With the 3” squares, I made a baby quilt and have more completed for another quilt. I still have a lot of fabric left for even more quilts. I was thrilled to come upon these old 1930’s fabrics and wish I had known who this fabric belonged to. I am guessing she passed away and her kids sent it to the Deseret Industries Thrift Store.
Thanks!

Wow! I really like the double “T” blocks- I’ve never seen them before. Such a great find for you (and us as we get to see what you have created).
