Hi, my name is Marie Flint and I am from Danvers, Massachusetts. I have just recently retired from my job as a Registered Optician. I have been sewing/quilting for many years. My most recent quilted wall hanging is this One Block Wonder Panel Quilt. I used a fabric from Northcott Fabrics. The technique of this type of quilt uses 7 exact panels of fabric. One is kept whole for the main theme and the other 6 panels are layered one upon each other with the exact spots pinned so that when you cut the rows of fabric that are then cut into triangles, they make a kaleidoscope design; each one being different from the next. The whole top of this hanging used the fabric from these panels with the exception of the purple which I needed to make everything pop. The hanging measures 41 x 32. For the quilting process, I did everything from stitch in the ditch to outline stitching and a lot of free motion including stippling, pebbling, meandering and just crazy fun wavy lines.
Thanks!
Marie
