Greetings! I am Faye Kelberg from Nokomis, Florida. I recently relocated from St. Paul, Minnesota to get out of the cold! I have sewed for most of my 63 years, but this is the first quilt I have ever made. I started last year and made one for each of my daughters. They are both cat lovers, so when I saw the Pins & Paws Quilt Pattern by Missouri Star, I knew I had to become a quilter. I made the same exact quilt for each one. A friend with an embroidery business made the label on the back. They each contain lyrics to songs I used to sing to each daughter as a child.

First, I was on the lookout for different cat prints, but they needed to be small due to the 2 1/2 inch half triangles. Then I realized I had to much fabric in my stash (who doesn’t, right?) I really didn’t need to buy more. I used fabric from each of their baby cross-stitch blankets…rainbow from a 6th-grade play….Minnesota Twins to remind them of their dad….and Chanukah fabric from dresses as a child…just to mention a few.

Needless to say, they loved it!

Thanks!

Faye
