My name is Sharon Zajac, I live on Drummond Island which is part of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.
Every Halloween I make costumes for my two granddaughters. This past year the seven-year-old requested a Jasmine costume and the five-year-old wanted to be Pocahontas.
For Jasmine, I used an old Simplicity Pattern #9919 that a friend of mine still had from many years ago. I added an overskirt from McCall’s fairy pattern, number 4887.
For Pocahontas I used the cave girl pattern from Simplicity 9945. As Nancy has said about making great Halloween costumes, embellish, embellish, embellish. I told my husband, it’s all about the bling!
Now’s the time to start making costumes for next Halloween! Thank you!
Sharon
