Are you a member of a quilt guild or sewing guild? If so, did you know there are special perks for guild members at Missouri Star Quilt Co. in Hamilton, Missouri? Actually, there are lots of perks to being in a quilt or sewing guild, but discounts and special opportunities are one of the best!
I’ve been in a couple of guilds in the past and my favorite parts were the programs and workshops that were held each month by the guild. I learned so much! It was really great for me and I became a better quilter. My other favorite part was working on community service projects. One guild I was in made quilts for all of the foster kids in our area. It was a wonderful cause and so sweetly appreciated. If I know one thing about guilds, it’s that so many of them do wonderful works in their communities! Community service and outreach projects are the specialties of so many guilds!

What about American Sewing Guild? It is an organization with chapters nationwide, and the chapters have both neighborhood groups (NGs) and special interest groups (SIGs), any number of which might be interested in something like this. I am not in a quilt guild any more because I’m more into garment and bag sewing these days, but I definitely AM an active member of the Seattle chapter (and Everett NG) of ASG!
Hi Charlotte! Absolutely, sewing guilds are included! I just edited my post to reflect that. Thanks for bringing the omission to my attention. It was definitely unintentional. Hope to see you in Hamilton!
