Hey friends! I hope you’re all having a fantastic Fall season! (Or do you call it Autumn??) Either one works for me; I just love the season! I am recovering from a very busy week at Birthday Bash in Hamilton, Missouri. We celebrated Missouri Star’s 16th Birthday and I was able to meet and visit with so many of you. It was truly a great time! If you didn’t have a chance to attend Birthday Bash, fear not. The next big event at Missouri Star is right around the corner. The Halloween Party and Guild Days will be held on October 18 and 19, 2024.
The Halloween Party and Guild Days are two events in one. The Halloween Party is for anyone and everyone and is going to be full of spooky-good deals and fun events! We are going to be Bobbin for Apples (Don’t worry about cleanliness – this game involves bobbins and winning apple fabric! No water or real apples involved! LOL!). There will also be the House of Quilting Nightmares set up within the shops. It’s a hilarious take on what can go wrong in the sewing room! You also won’t want to miss meeting Jack the Ripper and win a free seam ripper!
However, the biggest, most exciting part of the Halloween Party is our special guest Riel Nason, author of the Little Ghost Who Was A Quilt, will be there signing books and leading a walking parade of Little Ghost Quilts! Be sure to bring your quilt with you and participate!
Guild Days coincide with the Halloween Party. Guild Days are held every other month, except in the very cold months. This is the perfect time to grab your sewing or quilting guild friends, and load up and come together! Bring a bus or even separate vehicles. Be sure to RSVP for your group and you will get registered to win MSQC gift cards, get goodie bags, special discounts, and so much more! It’s the perfect time to visit Missouri Star!
In other exciting sew-special news, the new Enchanted Christmas Embroidery Kit just dropped this week! Woot woot! This kit is absolutely gorgeous!! It is inspired by antique embroidery and the magic of Christmas. This kit has everything you need to craft intricate designs that capture the spirit of the season. It includes detailed instruction cards, a variety of embroidery thread, and other materials to begin a beautiful hand-held piece of your heart to be passed down through generations (or pass the tradition on to someone else by gifting them this magical kit). The kit contains: keepsake tin, Enchanted Christmas pattern for five home décor projects, 7″ embroidery hoop, 30 instruction cards, 10 #8 Perle cotton 10-gram balls, 25 Peel & Stitch Wash-Away designs, embroidery scissors, magnetic needle minder, 2 needles, and a needle threader! You can find the kit by clicking here!
And that wraps it up for today, friends! I just wanted to update you on all of the new and exciting things happening at Nancy’s Notions/Missouri Star. Hope to see you at the Halloween Party! I’ll be there in costume! Will you? (Pssst… costumes are encouraged but totally not necessary!) See you there!
