These are a few of my favorite things. Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens, sewing machines on puzzles, and t-shirts and cups with quilting puns… These are definitely some of my favorite things. So, that may not be as catchy as the one that Julie Andrews sings in the Sound of Music, but you get my drift. These items make excellent gifts for a quilter or sewist or even yourself! (Of course!)
Puzzles
Lately the puzzle options have been amazing! There are so many quilting and sewing-themed puzzles on the market! I have always loved puzzles. Even when I was a tiny little thing, my favorite toys were puzzles. I was drawn to them. I could do them for hours and hours at a time. I could even do the same one over and over again. I often wonder if that is why I love quilting and piecing. Sometimes my quilt patterns are really just a puzzle made out of fabric. I have a feeling that is why my brain loves to piece!
Cups
I am slightly addicted to cups and mugs. I am not a huge coffee drinker, but I am a huge water and sugar-free soda drinker. I always have cold ice-water with me. Always. Therefore, I need lots of cups and I especially love ones that have a pun on them and I like ones that are sewing-related. If it has a sewing pun, it is a win-win! Or so it seams…
Storage
I love storage options. I like to be organized even though I do not always succeed. This bag is one of my favorites. It is great for storing fat quarters, but also other precuts and fabric. I have one that I use just to store all of my thread for my longarm machine. I keep that thread separate from my piecing thread and this bag (pictured below) is perfect for it! You can find the bag here!
Honestly, I could keep going but I will save my other favorite things for another day. Because I have a ton! I love so many notions and fabric lines. I would love to hear what your favorite things are too! Drop a line into the comments and let me know what are your favorite things. And yes, whiskers on kittens is an acceptable answer.
Wow!
