Birthday Bash has wrapped up for another year, and what a time it was! Hamilton, Missouri was buzzing with energy, and it felt so good to be surrounded by quilters who were just as excited as I was. I met new friends, laughed a lot, and soaked up every minute of the celebration. It was truly the kind of week that leaves you smiling long after you unpack your bags.
Of course, no trip to Hamilton is complete without bringing home a few treasures. First of all, I fell in love with this red, white, and blue quilt kit by Missouri Star Quilt Co. It is called Fireworks Finale. I absolutely can’t wait to make it. It is a sew-along and it can be made scrappy, as well. (A great way to use up your stash!) This sew-along has it’s very own Facebook group where the pattern information will be released. You can find that group here.

Another favorite purchase was this gorgeous Christmas Tilda fabric. I’m using it to make one of her free Christmas patterns. It was love at first sight when I saw the sample quilt hanging at Birthday Bash. Tilda’s free Christmas patterns also include wall hangings, pillows, and more. You can find free Tilda patterns here.

Besides the fabric, I also made it home with some new scissors, cutting blades, t-shirts, and more! There were so many wonderful vendors there, not to mention the amazing 16 Missouri Star Quilt Co. quilt shops. Oh, and I also made it to some yummy restaurants and bought hand pies from the Amish pie vendor. If you know, you know! These pies are the best!
If you want to experience Birthday Bash for yourself, next year’s dates are September 16-19, 2026. It is truly the most fun event for quilters and stitchers!
Looking back, I think what made Birthday Bash so special this year was the perfect mix of inspiration, shopping, and good company. It is always fun to find new tools and fabric, but the memories of laughing and sharing with fellow quilters are what really stick with me. I am already looking forward to next year.
‘Til next time! Happy sewing!
