Howdy from Hamilton! The Birthday Bash is in full swing, and this little quilting town feels like the Wild West of fabric right now. Quilters have taken over the streets, and there’s laughter, shopping, and plenty of yeehaw energy around every corner. Everywhere I look, folks are hauling bags of fabric, showing off new tools, and trading stories like old trail riders around a campfire. It is a rootin-tootin good time!
One of my favorite parts of the Bash is jawin’ with attendees about their best finds. Everyone has a tale to tell and a prize to share. Here are just a few I’ve rounded up:
- Jacky W. from Oregon said she bought another Mia Bag Kit and was excited to get started.
- Dorothy G. from Florida said her Punch Needle Kit is the best treasure they wrangled up this year.
- Lynn F. from Missouri couldn’t wait to tell me that her Christmas Quilt Builder Card Deck is already sparking ideas for her next Christmas quilt.
- Christy T. from Idaho was super excited about the orange and black fabric she bought for a Halloween quilt.
- Margaret E. from Missouri was telling me about the Favorite Things Embroidery Kit that she bought. She loves it!
- Rebecca S. from Missouri told me she found the perfect fabric for her Passacaglia Quilt that she is working on.

Everywhere I turn, it is like a quilting gold rush. Folks are showing off their favorite catches and talking about the projects they are itching to start once they ride back home. The energy is contagious, and Hamilton feels like the quilting capital of the frontier.

If you are not here for the hoedown this year, don’t hang your head. There is always next time, and you can bet your boots it will be just as lively. Mark your calendars now because the next Birthday Bash will take place September 16 through 19, 2026. Saddle up and make plans to join the fun. You will not want to miss this quilting roundup.
‘Til next time! Happy sewing!
