Can you believe how fast this summer flew by? My kids go back to school in one week! That feels surreal. Didn’t summer just get started? I don’t mind though. While Fall isn’t my favorite season, it’s definitely second runner-up. Winter takes the top spot for me! But Fall does bring one of my favorite events of the year: Birthday Bash at Missouri Star Quilt Co. in Hamilton, Missouri!
If you’ve never been, here’s what you need to know: Birthday Bash is Missouri Star’s annual celebration in honor of the company’s founding, and this year it’s happening September 17–20, 2025 – that’s four full days of fun! If you love to sew or quilt, you will LOVE Birthday Bash. There are ticketed events like Evening with the Doans, the OK Corral Quilt-Off, Bingo, and more. Plus, there are tons of free events too, like a lasso contest, free trunk shows, and make a custom bandana. You can also meet designers like Craig Conover, Tami Jones, and more. Click here to read all about it!

The theme this year is western, so dust off your cowboy boots and grab that cowboy hat! You’re going to want to be part of the fun. With 16 quilt shops, a vendor alley, food trucks, and nearby attractions like the quilt museum and J.C. Penney’s boyhood home, there’s more than enough to fill your days with inspiration and good times.
I’ll be there, and I’d love for you to join me! Whether you come with your favorite quilting pals or arrive solo, you’ll be surrounded by friendly faces and creativity. Hamilton will be buzzing with quilty energy, and I hope I get to see you there!
‘Til next time!
Beth
