There’s just something about creating something small, simple, and adorable that just makes me smile. I’m pretty sure everyone feels that way. Projects do not have to be big and complicated to be worthwhile. Sometimes simple is just a breath of fresh air.
I love to keep my hands busy and sometimes I just have so much creative energy that I feel as if I’ll just burst if I don’t create something. It could be a quilt or a big sewing project, but I don’t always have the time for that. Or the brain capacity at the moment. Simple projects are calming, therapeutic, and very fulfilling.
Needle Books
I have a friend who always makes the cutest little needle books. I have one that I made years ago, but it isn’t very cute. I came across this new pattern by Minki Kim and immediately added it to my cart. I adore projects like this! This little thing is so darn cute and will be perfect for my needles. You can find the pattern here.
The embroidery on the cover is from Ingrid’s Wildflower Kit. Swoon. (If you missed me talked about Ingrid’s wildflowers, click here to read that post.) This little needle book even has a spot for embroidery scissors too. The pattern comes with step-by-step instructions, as well as a tutorial that is available on YouTube.
If you’re looking for the cute little labels that are sewn onto the front of the needle book, here they are! These things are so stinkin’ cute! They come in many designs (I didn’t have room to show them all!) and they are perfect for any project you make, not just the needle book. Sew them into garments, onto quilts, etc! The possibilities are endless! Find the labels on Missouri Star Quilt Co. or click here!
