If you’re looking for Nancy’s books, wondering where to watch Sewing With Nancy, or trying to get an older Amazing Designs program working, you’re not the only one! I’ve gathered the answers here so you can find them whenever you need them. Think of this as a handy little reference to bookmark and come back to.
Where can I buy Nancy Zieman’s books and patterns?
Nancy’s books and patterns are out of print, and we don’t have copies available to sell or send. I know it can be disappointing when you have your heart set on a particular project! Your best bet is to check secondhand sources, such as eBay or online used-book stores. Searching for the exact title along with “Nancy Zieman” may help narrow things down.
Where can I watch Sewing With Nancy?
You can find Sewing With Nancy on PBS, with episodes available to stream on PBS.org and in the PBS app. The show also continues to air on public television; check your local station’s listings for the schedule in your area.
Nancy’s Notions does not own the rights to Sewing With Nancy or choose which episodes air, so we aren’t able to fulfill episode requests. For broadcast questions, your local public television station is the best place to start.
Where can I find a pattern mentioned on Sewing With Nancy?
Nancy’s Notions does not sell the patterns featured on the show. Try the secondhand sources mentioned above. Availability will vary, especially for older projects. Those episodes are all reruns and PBS has never edited out the information at the end where it lists the pattern and contact information even though it has been many years. The phone number listed is non-working and the information is obsolete.
Does Nancy’s Notions still have a physical store?
Nancy’s Notions no longer has a brick-and-mortar store. We’re online-only now, with our focus on sewing and quilting education. You can still visit us anytime right here for techniques, project ideas, stories, and inspiration. No travel required!
Where can I buy sewing notions, fabric, and quilting supplies?
Our sister site, Missouri Star Quilt Company, is the place to shop! Browse sewing and quilting notions at Missouri Star, or explore quilting fabric by the yard for your next quilt. Nancy’s Notions is your resource library, while Missouri Star is where you can purchase supplies.
Can I update my Amazing Designs embroidery software?
Amazing Designs software, formerly owned by Nancy’s Notions, is obsolete and is no longer manufactured or updated. There are no new software updates available. However, in some cases the software company may be able to reactivate an existing program. Reactivation is different from an update, and it isn’t guaranteed.
Can I reactivate Amazing Designs or move it to a new computer?
If you’re trying to activate an existing Amazing Designs program or move it to a new computer, please email me at beth@nancysnotions.com with your software serial number or numbers, and I’ll try to help. I can’t promise that reactivation will be possible, but I can look into it.
Please send serial numbers privately by email rather than posting them in the comments. This possible reactivation help applies to Amazing Designs software, not Amazing Box products.
Can Amazing Box II or another Amazing Box product be updated?
Unfortunately, Amazing Box II and the other Amazing Box products are obsolete and cannot be updated. The possible software reactivation help described above does not apply to Amazing Box. I wish I had a better answer for those of you who have enjoyed using yours.
How do I find sewing and quilting answers on this website?
Start with the “Search the library…” box on the Nancy’s Notions homepage. Try a short, specific phrase, such as “rotary cutters,” “seam allowance,” “Amazing Designs,” “garments”, or “Sewing with Nancy.” If you don’t find what you need, try a different word for the same topic or shorten your search.
You can also browse the sewing and quilting categories from the homepage. That’s a lovely way to discover something useful you didn’t even know you were looking for!
