Christy’s Digital Applique is Outstanding!

Hello, my name is Christy Gray and I live on a small farm in Columbia Mo with my husband of 48 years, 5 dogs and 3 goats.

The quilt is a design I made of my middle goat “Pearl.” She is quite ornery but sweet as can be too.

The technique is new to me and I am calling it digital applique.  I make the design in a vector drawing program, as I would any other, but instead of cutting the parts out of fabric and applying to the quilt, I inserted digital fabric and then printed the design on fabric yardage.

I used 2 layers of wool batting for dimension and quilted her on my longarm quilting machine.

Hope you like her!

Christy

Pearl, the middle goat.
