Hello! I’m Debra and I made a sling bag that I’d like to show you. I don’t know the name of the fabric; it’s some fabric I bought about 20 years ago. I really liked the antique sewing notions motif, but I didn’t know what to make out of it. So I just held onto it.
Meanwhile, I developed a pattern for a sling bag to suit my own wish for a purse with lots of pockets that would be easy to carry. I borrowed ideas from a few different patterns, but I made so many changes that it eventually became my own design. After making several of these bags, one day I ran across this old, favorite fabric that I had never used, and realized that it would be perfect for one of my bags.
I went to my local quilt shop to find the coordinating fabrics to go with it. I was lucky to find three different prints that went well with the antique vibe. I also made a matching fabric insert for my Passport-size traveler’s notebook. So, here they are!
Thanks!
Debi

Please have a pattern 🙏🏾…I love this design!
I love your bag ! Sewing has been most of my life. I started at 10 years old I was bored my mother had cut out a dress pattern so I read the instructions step by step with no help from my mother even putting in the zipper the next day our neighbor came over she was a beautiful sewer and my mother asked me to show her the dress she always had someone else’s put her zipper in. She asked who mother had put the zipper it was perfect,I said I did it made me feel so good.My mother had always put me down. Well I never quit sewing and now I am 70 years old. So don’t quit sewing.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE NANCY’S BAG, ID LOVE TO HAVE IT IN A SLING, BEAUTIFUL!!♥️♥️
I love the pattern you made. Is there a down load for both of them?
I haven’t sewn in YEARS. My health no longer made sitting at a sewing machine possible, but I need a bag to put my mini oxygen tank in. If I add grommets I’ll be able to feed my O² tubing through the holes. You have no idea of what a huge hole there is in the marketplace for cute O² bags, so now I can make my own! Thank you!
Did anyone get the pattern
This bag is so wonderful! If a pattern could be obtain I would be interested in purchasing it. Thank you!
Please let us know if you have a pattern, free or not?
