Hi, my name is Marie Flint and I am from Danvers, Massachusetts. I have just recently retired from my job as a Registered Dispensing Optician. I thought this quilted hanging was perfect for the time of year. I purchased the pattern from Nancy’s Notions a few years ago. I did have to use all my own fabrics and come up with the quilting stitches to create the wrinkles and wear and tear of the witches character. I also added metallic thread painting to her hair to add some graying for age and to make the hairs on her moles. I utilized stitch in the ditch, outline quilting and free motion stitches. Every Halloween my family gets to enjoy her.
