Hi, my name is Carol Ann Grantham and I live in Mansfield, Texas. I learned to sew when I was 12 years old, but I didn’t start quilting until I was almost 62. I am now 77 and still learning.
The pictures attached are my version of the Missouri Star Block Star pattern and a “bonus project” of a lap-size quilt made from the leftover triangles. I used a Kaffe Fassett jelly roll that I have had in my stash for awhile.
I belong to a quilt group that makes quilts for charity. Our primary beneficiary has been the Mansfield Methodist Hospital. Our quilts are given to patients there. That’s where the Block Star quilt and the “bonus project” lap quilt will go.
I didn’t keep track of my time so I don’t know how long they took to make, but they didn’t really take that long. Both quilts were machine pieced by me and then I quilted them on a long-arm machine using free-motion.
Thanks!
Carol Ann
