I watched a video online to learn how to make a rag rug. It looked SO easy. I wanted the tool that was used in the video, so I searched and found it. The tool was sold with a book. Well, I didn't want the book, I watched the video once and was a self-proclaimed expert on rag rugs. I wanted the tool, so I bought the book too. When they arrived, I grabbed the tool and started working with the strips I had prepared. Amazingly, I couldn't make the strips "do" what they were supposed to. Hmm, must be the tool. It wasn't the tool, it was the "expert." I opened the book (that I didn't need) and saw exact step-by-step instructions. They are great. I could have watched the video, paused, and started over and over, but the book is so much better. I recommend watching the video, but I also recommend the book and tool. The combination of the three will help you produce great results.
